Be a participant of NSPA's Virtual Adoption Program!

For $10 per month you can sponsor a cat or kitten. You will receive a picture of the cat or kitten and the story of his/her history - some have very dramatic tales (pun intended). The author of this site has virtually adopted Alhambra, a small female Maine Coon cat that was rescued from the brick walls of the local Alhambra water company - hence her name. She is called Allie for short. Allie is very shy.

Alexis J. Wackers: Alexis J. is a silver and white tabby who was found at the Clovis Animal Shelter. As she was failing to grow, she needed special care. She has battled several viruses and now seems to be in good health.
Amy2: Amy lives at the shelter with her brother Jethro. She also has a sister, Eclipse who was in poor health and was adopted by a volenteer. Any is quite shy but hangs out around the house most of the time.
Archie is a very handsome orange and white feline. He was found in a yard along with a sibling, Little Abner, and their mother. All three reside at the shelter. Archie was nicknamed Marmy or Marmalade by some of the volunteers for his beautiful color. He is very friendly and adoptable.
Ariel Ariel was found as a 3 week old kitten behind a business complex by a security guard.
Ashley Ashley was found behind an elementary school where she and her 3 brothers were born. Their mother kept them fed with gophers and other rodents. Ashley is still quite shy.
BC BC was a stray kitten and a very BUSY CAT. She has a special way of walking in which she throws her back legs out!
BG BG was very wild. He was 1 of 30 cats being fed by an elderly couple. He has calmed down some, however he'll still hiss and run away from visitors.
Bucky Bucky is a wonderful "personality plus" adult female. She is a long haired tuxedo, who was brought to the sanctuary along with her 6 kittens. Her humans were not caring for her properly and she was being kept apart from her kittens. Bucky has fared well here and now rules the outdoor compound.
BT Bubba Tom or BT was a stray, he obviously had been owned by someone who abandoned him. He is a huge long haired tabby. BT is very sweet, but can play hard. BT needs constant brushing to keep his coat from tangling.
Conan, Gabriella, and Pumpkin Conan, Gabriella, and Pumpkin. Conan and Gabrielle are littermates. They were born in the parking lot at one of our local libraries. Their mother had lived there for some time, having prior litters. Conan is still quite feral and will lash out if you try to touch him. Pumpkin joined them several months later and would be considered a half brother. He was the most recent offspring of their mother. Our volunteers have finally been able to catch the mother. She has been spayed and vaccinated. Pumpkin is a little more trusting of humans and will let you pet him, cautiously however. Gabrielle has sinced passed away.
Cowboy is a laid back easy going fellow. He was one of thirty cats living with an elderly couple. When they could no longer care for them they came to the NSPA.
