Below are some photos of an enclosed porch that I, the webmaster of NSPA, put up to keep my cats safe at night. Unfortunately, it seems the most dangerous time of the day for outdoor cats and trouble occur after sundown. The enclosure was an afterthought when my cat, Moses, disappeared. Consequently, all of our latest family members spend the night confined.
I added the divider in the middle of the enclosure in which to keep cranky cats when they need a "time out". What is not evident from these photos is the attractive wire mesh that is used - it isn't chicken wire and I bought it at Home Depot. For those interested about details, please feel free to contact me at the webmaster address at the bottom of this page.
Not only has this enclosure proved indespensible for ensuring the safety of our cats but since I strongly suspect Moses was catnapped, I also installed a motion detector to announce when someone is entering our driveway. This has proved extrememly valuable in discouraging prospective catnappers and other nefarious trespassers.    Return to the Adoption Policy Page
